Caught the Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert last night on T-V. (Only problem I had with watching it was suffering through all these smarmy we’re-in-this-together-commercials. I feel like yelling at the screen “We’re not in anything together. We are home alone watching idiots like you tell us how much you’re doing for us when you haven’t done diddly squat. STFU!”)
OK, rant aside, the Superstar show was a re-run from the original live show in 2018. The hi light for me was Alice Cooper as King Herod singing my favorite song from the musical. If I were to rewrite the song though I would have Herod singing “If you are the Christ, why don’t you do something in a special way and make these stupid commercials go away.”
