Continuing this Buzzyblog look at country stores that have evolved into gift/collectible/antique stores, let’s look at one that has made a couple of transitions from general store to Christmas Store to craft store to interior design store. I’m talking Cecil’s Store located in Great Mills just in a bit on Indian Bridge Road. From their website, here is Cecil’s history (click here.)
I also found this Enterprise article written by Sue Craton when Cecil’s celebrated its 100th year anniversary in 2006 (click here.)
As for today, Cecil’s Store has a little bit of everything as stated here on this from their FB page (click here.)
Speaking of featuring local artists, Cecil’s Store has Mary Lou Troutman artwork for sale. Her husband Jeff is usually around on Thursdays to assist you in picking up one of her works.

Rob is a master carpenter who specializes in furniture art to include refurbishing furniture as well creating new pieces. It’s worth the tour alone to drop in and see what he has in his shop. Great to see the Old Mill is also still around and being put to good use.
