Quade’s Store Update: Thanks to Karen Quade and Bev Gardiner, I learned that Quade’s Store has been rented to a couple of restaurateurs who are in the process of refurnishing the place and planning to reopen soon. This is good news and I wish them well. My only suggestion to them is why not name the place Alice’s Restaurant? (OK, so only you old farts like me get that reference. However, with Mrs. Quade’s first name being Alice, it makes sense to me to name it after her.)
