The Parking for Ukrainians sign in Buzzy’s Country Store front window continues to elicit comments and attention from – you guessed it, Ukrainians who stop in.

Last week Alexander and Natalie drove down from Columbia, Maryland and visited Buzzy’s where they were impressed to see the sign on display:

Back in April, a father son duo posed in front of the sign after they had thanked me for having a reserved space just for them. When I asked the father what he thought of the ongoing war, he said simply “Putin stupid.”

P.S. For a recap of just how Polock (Steve Sorroca) gave Buzzy the sign years ago (click here.) Funny how what started out as a little inside Buzzy joke has become a political statement of world support for the Ukrainian people. P.S. P.S. I just talked to Steve yesterday and he said to say hello to all of his Buzzy friends and pals.
Speaking of jokes, there is a terrible one that goes – half of the American people don’t know where Ukraine is on a world map, while the other half don’t know what a world map is. Yeah, pretty bad and doubly so since I am telling it on our birthday the 4rh of July – USA! USA! USA! USA! Greatest country in the history of mankind even if we do suck at geography!
Nice photo here of Pat Birmingham showing Levi who Yankee Doodle Dandy is/was. Levi’s birthday is today. Happy birthday Levi!

Good reason to play the following. Officially titled The Yankee Doodle Boy the original tune came to be known as “Yankee Doodle Dandy.” It was written by George M. Cohan who was born……want to bet when? (Note you’ll be wrong if you say the 4th of July.)
