I don’t know how nor why, but my Buzzy’s Country Store Facebook page has recently started receiving a number of Far Side cartoons. At first, I didn’t mind; but eventually they got on my nerves because many of them were requiring too much of my time to parse through and try and figure out the punch line. Plus, as you know, I am not the world’s biggest pet/animal lover. Most of the time it was a waste of my time. Thus, I hit the FB “Hide these” button.
Here is a good example of what I’m talking about. It’s funny, but it took me too long to get it:
I found that the same goes for most of those high brow New Yorker magazine cartoons that make you think too much in order to get the humor. Example follows:

Ok, this last one features animals, but it did make me smile some even if it hit a little too close to home. (I too have never really been happy with my new hip following replacement surgery several years ago. However, that may be a horse of a different color!)
