Found this 2016 article “These 7 Charming General Stores in Maryland Will Make You Feel Nostaglic.” (Note that I had to smile because one of the stores listed was The Sunshine General Store which I recently profiled here on the Buzzyblog just a few months ago (click here).
Number 1 listed in the article was Gambrills General Store. The following photo and write up was included:
However, when I went to their FB page via the link in the article I was sadden to see the following 2022 post which was their last one:
Ah, yes, the only thing permanent is change. I decided to check out Biggy’s FB page and it looks like Kristi is doing a pretty good job of keeping the place up and running:

P.S. Note how those Mike’s Bait Signs have popped up all over. Their rep dropped into Buzzy’s Country Store last year to try and convince me to switch from my current bait supplier to them. I told him I would think about it. Very next day he had already planted one of their signs next to my Buzzy sign in front of the store. I took it down and decided to stay with my current supplier for now. Next spring/season though I may switch over. As my Mom used to say “We’ll see.” (Usually though when Mom said that it was her way of saying no.)
