Monday Morning Quarterback time, so here is a quick look back at some things that came and went last month in the Buzzy world good, bad and ugly style.

Good-wise, on the business side of things, October was a pretty good month in that Buzzy’s had one of its best Octobers ever. While the summer months’ churn was still down due to Pt. Lookout Campground being closed, September, October and November to date have been very good. I attribute it to the nice weather and all you folks who continue to support Buzzy’s like you do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

On the down side of things, literally, someone pointed out to me that the Buzzyblog of late seemed to be featuring a number of death-related posts re: family and friends either passing or posts commenting on their death anniversaries. My friend who pointed this out to me was indeed correct.

I had come to the same conclusion after doing my October end-of-the-month review of Buzzyblog topics. (Note I do so mostly to ensure that I am not boring you by posting too many sports-related items.)

My October review showed that I had done several death-themed posts ranging from Buzzy’s and Mike Raley’s passing to Suzanne Sommers moving on. I included a post on a Bonnie Raitt song about her child’s death. I then even threw in a post on Lou Reed’s death anniversary which in turn made me mention and publish Lou Gentry’s obit. (This trend was continued some when I started November off by discussing my Mom’s passing on 1 November 2020.)

So yeah, recent Buzzyblog posts have had a grim reaper vibe about them. I guess as you plow thru your 70’s, death can be like those items in your rear view mirror that are closer than they appear to be. Speaking of which, I found these cartoons somewhere in my travels:

As for the ugly on the October Buzzyblog, while I didn’t post this at the time, I got to go with the King of Ugly P45 himself making a surprise Halloween visit to Buzzy’s Country Store. (Note that any resemblance to Kevin Adkins is strictly coincidental because Kevin is a genuinely nice guy.)

Imagine – The Donald on the loose in a place like Buzzy’s that doesn’t really care much about values, morals and all that ethical stuff. He’d feel right at home wouldn’t he?

And speaking of ugly:
