Conspiracy Theory – Another One Bites the Dust – Others Arise In Its Place

Leading up to the Ravens/Chiefs’ playoff game, a lot was made over a seemingly non-issue pertaining to the Super Bowl logo for this year’s event. Items such as the following were being passed along and thru the media funnel:

The conspiracy theory went that the NFL logo folks knew ahead of time who the SB teams would be and hence designed the logo’s according to those two teams’ colors.

Well, that may have been the case for the previous two SB’s, but as we all know now, that will definitely not be the case this year. The color purple doesn’t mean squat. (Dammit, when I want the conspiracy to be a conspiracy, it is not!)

Check out this summary of events:

However, immediately after that logo conspiracy was laid to rest, there is this new one floating around suggesting that the NFL really wanted the Chiefs and Taylor in it all along (click here.) There is even a politico nuts’ conspiracy theory saying that it is a psyop – what ever that is – to influence the Presidential election (click here.) When asked about this supposed conspiracy, a quick thinking Pentagon official answered that they were just going to shake it off. Touchdown!

Others were not so convinced however:

I’m not buying any conspiracy about any of this, because the bottom line is that the Ravens picked the absolute worst time to not show up ready to play, be professional and take care of their business. Kind of like life – if you snooze you lose. (However, if it comes out later that the Ravens too were in on the conspiracy and purposely threw the game , we’ll talk again!)
