Tune was first done by Erma Franklin who was Aretha’s older sister (click here.) It was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Female R&B category in 1969. Ironically, it was Aretha who won that honor for her “Chain of Fools.” No doubt in my mind that the pizza, er make that “Piece of My Heart” song was much better. Maybe Taylor should do a remake – of the song not the pizza!
