Saw this quote below from Livingston Taylor on his FB page, and it made me re-think my view of musicians and attending one of their shows. Then again, as I roll thru my 70’s, the whole safety thing really has become more of a thing in my dotage. Here is what Livingston had to say:
I like that “You are responsible for the safe passage of your audience through your space.” Livingston notes that part of the musicians’ job is to ensure that guests and visitors feel safe and comfortable when spending time and money with them.
Guess that in a way, it is not unlike any customer/service provider relationship be it a bar tender, boat captain, tour guide, or even a country store owner.
I have seen his brother JT a couple times in concert, but now have Liningston on my to-see list.
