Taco Tuesday Name

I began this post several months ago when the news first broke that Taco Bell and Gregory’s Restaurant in New Jersey had reached an agreement over usage of the term “Taco Tuesday” (click here for article.)

I have been waiting to see if any additional details about the agreement and/or the settlement came out. However, I have not seen anything more about the agreement.

But check out this video filmed back when Mr. Gregory was holding out on relinquishing his trademark rights.

I did find this recent update on Gregory’s website. Seems that Gregory Gregory has retired. Coincidence? Or think maybe he came into some money?

Note – I recall once hearing it said “Never trust someone with a last name that could be a first name.” For example Woody Allen, Anderson Cooper, Michael Jordan or Harrison Ford. And don’t forget the senoritas with two first names such as Kathy Lee, Martha Stewart, Katy Perry etc.. By extension then, how does that apply to someone who has the identical last and first name as in Sirhan Sirhan, José José, Lisa Lisa? (I won’t even begin to tell you about someone I knew named Richard Dick.)

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I may or may not be exploring the origins of a Buzzyism phrase “Never trust a man whose ass is wider than his shoulders.”

In looking for name-related tunes, this funny video popped up. Pretty good, but it does make me wonder about these old quiz shows with the to-and-fro questions and answers – just how much of it was real and how much of it was set up i.e staged? Think Paul Lynde for example. Regardless, the exchanges here are kinda funny given the man’s name.
