Friday the 13th always makes you pause a bit doesn’t it? When someone in Buzzy’s Country Store yesterday mentioned Friday the 13th coming up, it made me think “OK, need to be a little careful and lay low tomorrow.”
As for how and why Friday the 13th got such a bad rep, there is this explanation from Wiki having to with Norse and Christian traditions:

And speaking of bad luck, sure seems like cats are having their share of it right now. Their spin in the limelight as “Cat Ladies” and “Haitian dinners” could make you wonder just what they ever did to merit such negative publicity (click here.)
But back to Friday the 13 and the fear of it, there are some fairly convoluted terms for it as in paraskavedekatriaphobia and friggatriskaidekaphobia and triskaidekaphobia. Can you believe there are still no 13th floors on cruise ships nor hotels?
As for bad luck music, Born Under a Bad Sign was written by William Bell and Booker T. Jones (of Booker T. and the MG’s.) in 1967 and recorded by Albert King.
