Thanks to Guy Distributing for the invite, I got to attend a private showing of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales yesterday. (For more info and history on Clydesdales (click here.))
The Clydesdales are here in the County staying at Wayne Mast’s Suttler Post Farm on Chaptico Road in Mechanicsville. For more photos and info go to Suttler Farms’ FB page (click here.) They will be here thru the weekend as part of Suttler Farms Open House Fundraiser for Hospice (see details below.)

In addition to Wayne’s 9 Clydesdales that he has at Suttler Farm, an additional 9, the famous Budweiser ones, rode in via 3 tractor trailers earlier this week.

Mark Guy informed me that this was the first time in 19 years that the Budweiser Clydesdales have been back to the County. Thank you to Mark, his wife Julie and the rest of the Guy family for hosting such a nice event for us retailers.
Note that years ago Brady and I visited the home base of the Budweiser Clydesdales at their St. Louis Brewery when we took in a ball game at old Busch Stadium. St. Louis is another baseball town that we have visited twice on our ball park tours because they built new ball parks to replace ones that we had already checked out. Hence, we had to make a return to check out the new park. The other twofer ballpark cities that we have visited and revisited are Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit, Atlanta, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Arlington in Texas and New York (both Yankees and Mets.) As someone once said – you know you’re getting old when you can recall when the ball park/facility that is being replaced was first built. (Think Capital Centre in Landover.)
The “God is Good” comment above coupled with thoughts of Budweiser naturally led me to this song:
