Happy NY’s Eve

It really is a Twofer Tuesday because not only is today Tuesday, but it is also New Year’s Eve. To celebrate accordingly, we have two events on tap at Buzzy’s Country Store today:

And then at 5 o’clock, we will commence with Buzzy’s “It’s Midnight Somewhere” NY Eve celebration.

David Norris will be playing some music for us as we do hourly champagne toasts to the New Year (wherever it is at the time.) At 5 p.m. our time, it is midnight in Athens, Greece. At 6, we celebrate Rome hitting midnight. Then at 7 we head to London where they are 5 hours up on us. Not sure about 8 and 9 o’clock.

Speaking of London/Great Britian, John Mayall was often referred to as the Godfather of British Blues. His passing in July of this year didn’t receive as much attention as it should have. (At least to me, it didn’t seem like it did.) Here’s to John, now playing the blues with the angels.
