Long Live the King

No, I am not referring to the Raven’s Derrick Henry here. Rather, it is the title of a jig saw puzzle my sister Donna gave me as a Christmas present.

Here is the completed puzzle which I use as prima facia evidence to my wife Pam that I do occasionally finish a project I start. (She does have and can cite plenty of evidence to the contrary though.)

Featured are various beer labels that Anheuser Busch has used for their Budweiser products throughout the years.

My plans are to unveil and display it Tuesday night in Buzzy’s Country Store as part of our New Year’s Eve “It’s Midnight Somewhere” Party.

On the back of the puzzle box is the following beer quiz. (To save you from having to turn your phone/laptop upside down to read the answers I’ve included them below.)

If you just gotta get one of these Budweiser puzzles for your own amusement and passing of time that you won’t ever get back again click here for the eBay listing on it.

And speaking of the King, sure seems that I don’t hear much King Crimson being played on any of the Classic Rock stations. Then again, these guys have always been sorta overlooked and underrated by critics and fans alike. (They are still not in the Rock n Roll HoF (click here.))

The co-founder of King Crimson, Pete Sinfield passed last month at the age of 80 (click here.) He wrote this nice tune from their first album. That’s Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) on vocals.

It prompted the following comment among the many YouTube comments attached to the video.
