Initially this week I planned to do a Super Bowl-related post each day leading up to Sunday. While today’s Buzzyblogpost does not deal with the Super Bowl per se, in a round about way it does because it reveals my pick to win the game. As you read along here, see if you can figure out who I’m backing.
I had a very nice lady named Lynn from Alberta, Canada drop into Buzzy’s Country Store yesterday for a visit. She is in the area having accompanied her husband here on a business trip.
We of course discussed the whole, silly tariff thing and both agreed on how dumb it is. However, we also discussed several other, non-political matters which I enjoyed much more than tariff trashing because I learned alot from Lynn and appreciated her take on things U.S. and Canadian.
One of the subjects I mentioned to her was how their Canadian Geese spend their winters with us here in Maryland. Perhaps the internet gods were eavesdropping, because later, when I checked my email, there was this notice from DNR discussing a recent waterfowl survey:

The following chart, also excerpted from the DNR article, I doctored up to focus on the Canadian Geese population:

Music-wise, in my rankings of Greatest American Rock Bands I have The Byrds in the top 5 along with CCR, The Doors, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. (In keeping with the ornithological theme of today, guess my fifth greatest American band and you will have my Super Bowl pick.)
