I am thinking Blues Magoos this morning. Who I hear you asking? They were one hit wonders in the 60’s with the song We Ain’t Got Nothing Yet (below.)
So why am I thinking about them this a.m.? Answer – the song’s opening line goes “One day you’re up and the next day you’re down.”
Continuing to ask and answer my own questions, why is that the case?

I texted Brady to see if he was watching. Sure enough he was, even if he did text me back and ultimately turn out to be prophetic.
“Next day you’re down.”
When Texas tied the game and took it to extra innings, I turned it off and went to sleep. I awoke today to learn that the O’s lost 6-5.
Fuck you Blues Magoos. (OK, I fully recognize that they did not have anything to do with the O’s losing; but since it now seems like it’s ok to say the word “Fuck”, I’m jumping on the bandwagon too!)
