Don’t Mourn, Be Happy

While on this recent trip, I learned of the Merry Cemetery located in a town named Săpânța in northwest Romania.

And while I did not get a chance to visit the cemetery, I did find several videos on it. The following tell you how it came to be and why it is referred to as the Merry Cemetery. (Be sure to catch the discussion about epitaphs (1:50 mark first video) where the narrator cites as an example “He loved horses but not as much as he loved sitting next to someone else’s wife at the bar.”)
