On the first day of each month here on the Buzzyblog, I usually list upcoming birthdays for the month before us. Tomorrow however, is Podcast Monday so let’s preview December Buzzy birthdays today. (Note, tomorrow’s podcast is our 25th episode and features Chief Larry and I discussing our six months of conducting interviews with various members of our Buzzy family. Bruce Henry celebrates on the 2nd and is followed up with my Brother in-law Jerry Taylor on the 7th; Jason Aldridge is also on the 7th; Greg Madjeski the 10th; Jimmy Cullison and Steve Raley the 16th; Jerry Kiger and Mike Fenhagen on the 18th; Pat Birmingham 23rd; Josh Ridgell 24th; BJ Gray 27th; Brian Barnhill the 28th; and Bill Holmes on the 29th.
Buzzy Christmas party will be held on 20 December, so mark your calendars for that celebration.
December’s Children was the title of the Rolling Stones’ 5th album and was released in December 1965. Think about that for a minute – 60 freaking years ago!
You know their big hit tunes from this album were Get Off My Cloud and As Tears Go By; but give a listen to one of my favorites where they do this great cover of Arthur Alexander’s tune.
Bart would have turned 78 tomorrow. We will toast one in his memory later today at Buzzy’s Country Store.
