With the Buzzy Christmas party set for 20 December and our New Year’s Eve Party on the 31st, these represent what I refer to as “planned parties.” The date is set weeks in advance and folks can plan accordingly.
However, Buzzy’s also has a nice way of having “unplanned parties,” that just sorta happen out of the blue. Folks get together and decide to ride down to Buzzy’s. Snow days are often Buzzy party days. And birthdays are always good excuses to celebrate them at Buzzy’s.
This was the case Thursday night when Jennifer Adkins invited several folks to get together at Buzzy’s to help celebrate Cat’s birthday. Food, cake, and yes, some drinks too made for a good time had by all. (They even managed to knock out a couple of rounds of Left-Right-Center.)

And then there was last week’s Black Friday party when several folks visited Buzzy’s not to shop, but to relax and enjoy themselves.
My friend Tom Russell escorted his Leonardtown compadres down to Buzzy’s where they were joined by several members of my Buzzy family. And from there it turned into a very nice get together. Someone made the comment “Everywhere else today people are shopping and eating leftovers, but here at Buzzy’s people are having fun partying!”
My brother-in-law Norm, who was here for the Thanksgiving weekend, brought his two son-in-laws Dan and Nick down to check things out at Buzzy’s and join in the fun. Got this photo of them posing with their first 10 ounce Buds.

Caught the Netflix documentary Being Eddie and enjoyed the look back at Eddie Murphy’s life and career. Too, enjoyed the inside tour of his fantastic Beverly Hills home (click here.)
However, I had forgotten about Eddie’s short stint in rock and roll. In 1985 he had a Number 2 hit with this song written by Rick James and recorded at Rick’s house in Buffalo during a snow storm. Bet there was some serious partying going on there during that time!
