Today’s Twofer Tuesday originated via a conversation in Buzzy’s Country Store the other day when an individual was described as being “butt naked.” One of my many Cliffs in the Store at the time corrected the speaker by noting “You mean buck naked.”
That launched an extended back-and-forth on which was the correct usage. Ultimately, someone consulted the Google boys and got the following:
This came to mind because tomorrow night features a full moon known as the Buck Moon. It is so named because this is the time of year that deer antlers begin to show on young deer.
Last month a nice couple staying at one of Peggy’s places in RoDo Beach were in Buzzy’s talking about photographing the Strawberry Moon as seen over the Bay on 29 June.
