Last Chance Texaco – Seen and Heard

Read somewhere that 90% of the world’s oil is nationalized.  Hence, our privately owned American oil companies need the tax breaks they currently have in order to remain competitive.  That seems to be working out pretty well for them given their recent profits.  Here then is a nice picture from Shorpy.com click here. Captioned “Last Chance Texaco October 1937. Abandoned garage on Highway No. 2. Western North Dakota. Medium format safety negative by Russell Lee for the FSA.”

Ricky Lee Jones has a song/video with the same title. Not so sure that gas supply and oil profits are her main concern however.
