IIWII?

Seems that none of the sports talk boys can discuss Tim Tebow without saying “it is what it is” by way of explaining his success.  I have never cared for the expression commencing with the first time I ever heard it said.   In a couples therapy session many years ago, my ex said it to explain something and I remember thinking,  maybe even saying at the time “What kind of b.s. answer is that?”  Ever since then, I’ve disliked the phrase IIWII and try to never say it.
But I do hear it a lot as I listen to talk radio mostly and hear it said repeatedly by the sports and political talking heads.  It’s become a kind of deus ex machina quote to sum up what they can’t seem to sum up.
Additionally, I’ll hear it said about once  or twice a night in Buzzy’s Country Store as many bar room arguments and discussions will invariably invoke IIWII.  I did a little research, and found some background on the phrase click here.
And not knowing how to end this little diatribe, I’ll spare you the obvious way to do so by saying instead, that sometimes, IT AIN’T ALWAYS WHAT IT IS!
