Steve Lingel aka Winky is a Raiders’ fan who always refers to the Ravens as the “Crows.” He emphasizes the word Crows much like Seinfeld used to say “Hello Newman.”
Winky hates the Ravens mostly because he’s still upset about Tony Siragusa injuring Rich Gannon’s leg in a playoff game back in 2000 click here. Deep down though, I think Winky is just “jealous” that the Ravens did it to them and not the other way around. (In a back-at-cha frame of mind, I still haven’t forgotten about Stabler’s Ghost to the Post (click here) pass against the Colts in 1977 so hey Winky, as far as I’m concerned we’re even buddy.)
Regardless, this Black Crowes song always gets my motor runnin’ and just in time for tonite’s Ravens’ game. (By the way, they are playing the Steelers, whom I too am just a bit jealous of because of all of their success against my team and everybody else’s. Where’s Tony Siragusa when we need him?)
