When Buzzy and I visited Peru to see Machu Picchu, our tour package offered a three day advance tour for approximately $700 that included seeing either the Galápagos Islands or a flight over the Nasca lines. Having taken a couple courses on Darwin and read about his work in the Galápagos Islands, I thought it might be worthwhile to take the advance tour. I asked Buzzy what he thought about going to the Islands. He asked me “What’s there to see there?” I told him “Birds and turtles.” To which he said “For $700, you got to be kidding.” Hence we didn’t go. I may have had better luck trying to talk him into seeing these Nasca lines out in the desert click here.
