John (JW) Raley has been lobbying me to install a new countertop to replace the one he built for Buzzy in the early 90’s. (Same as happened to my son Brady a few months ago, JW broke his thumb on the job and was off work. To throw some work his way, Buzzy had JW replace/upgrade the current countertop which has held up quite well. Hell, it’s even supported some Dallas Cowboy fans in its time.)

In spite of my “no changes” business plan for Buzzy’s, I’ve relented and have agreed to let JW proceed with the replacement. He was just here this a.m. fitting the new oak top he has constructed. The plan is to have it installed for next Saturday’s Cinco Derby Karaoke party. Come check it out. Drink enough tequila and you could be the first one to pass out on it!
