street. (For background click here.) The following is an actual exchange that we had just a few days ago after he yelled again at my Grandkids Shawn and Lily for riding their bikes in front of his house:
Me: “Does that make you feel any better George – yelling at a 7 and a 8 year old just for riding their bikes?”
George: “You! You’ve been nothing but trouble ever since you moved here. That’s why your kids were nothing but trouble. And now your grandkids are nothing but trouble.”
Me: “And you’ve been nothing but a miserable asshole since I moved here. That’s why your kids and grandkids don’t want to have anything to do with you.”
Following this exchange, my hopes remain the same as always – that that’s the last conversation I ever have with this turd. The one consolation I take from having to deal with George is a quote I once heard that went like this: “God must love ’em, He made a lot of ’em.” However, my sincere hope for humanity is that there aren’t too many more like him.
