A visitor from upstate New York was in Buzzy’s Country Store just the other day and told me that she was staying in one of Peggy’s Scotland Beach properties. When I asked her how she came to choose that for her vacation she noted that spending some time on the Chesapeake Bay was always one of her bucket list items. I smiled thinking that that was kind of cool because those of us who actually live here near the Bay tend to take it for granted and would never consider that as a bucket list item. One man’s bucket list is another man’s something-or-other I guess.
But it did get me wondering where and how the term “bucket list” originated. So you know what I did and here is an excerpt from something I found via the ole Google machine:

As the article states at its start however, most folks tend to associate the term with the movie starring Jack and Morgan. Here is a clip from that movie featuring John Mayer’s song Say. (This is not my favorite John Mayer song because after hearing him repeat “Say What You Need to Say” for the zillionth time, I feel like yelling back “John, please STOP saying say what you need to say and get some other lyrics!”)
