When it comes to coffee makers I really don’t care which one I use. Whatever Mr. Coffee maker is around and gets the job done is good enough for me. However, wife Pam likes to try out a new coffee maker every so often and we are currently using a Keurig 2.0 model. Great machine and functions very well save for one feature. It will not permit use of “non-Keurig” coffee packs. Should you try to sneak one in there, the following message pops up:
Given that the knock off packs are much cheaper than are the Keurig-approved packs, you are then stuck with having to do some creative trickery as shown in this video.
Not a big deal in the overall scheme of things. However, as I do my early morning fumbling and stumbling around just to fix a cup of coffee, I find myself pissed off at Keurig every time I have to put the fake label on the pack just to trick their damn machine to work. Hey Keurig dudes, are you really doing anything by making it HARDER for consumers to fix their coffee? And since this little trick is a simple way around your trying to force folks to use your packs, shouldn’t you just give up on this?
