Dan and Sue were in Buzzy’s this past weekend taking a break away from their trawler (left) docked at the Corinthian Yacht Club. They are in the process of completing the Great Loop and are currently travelling north after spending the winter in Marathon, Florida. (To check their FB page click here. Note that they have added the Buzzy decal to their photo collection. Bet that they are the first “loopers” to have ever stopped in Buzzy’s while doing the Great Loop.) In our conversation, Sue told me about a Scotland General Store located near her childhood home in the eastern part of Connecticut. I located the following article on the Store.

The fact that the store is currently being run by a gent from India reminded me of this joke: “Native American Indians and their casinos are taking America back one nickel at a time.” My variation on it goes “Indians are taking over America, one 7-11 at a time.”
