Here is a great Bob Dylan song performed very nicely by Aaron Neville. Only thing wrong with it is that Aaron omits several of the later verses in the song. (For the complete lyrics (click here.))
To offset his omission though, Aaron does repeat this great verse: “I wish I had been a doctor, maybe I could have saved some lives that had been lost, maybe I would have done some good in this world, instead of burning every bridge I crossed.”

For some weird reason I thought of this “Burning Bridges” line when I heard Mike and the Moonpies’ song “The Worst Thing I Ever Done.” In “Worst Thing” Mike discusses a number of mistakes that he has made and then wonders if that’s the worst thing he’s ever done.
It got me thinking about the worst thing(s) that I have ever done. Sad to confess, it gave me quite a pause at how many incidents I had to choose from. What’s the old saying “If you look for the bad, you surely will find it”? Well that sure turned out to be the case when I conducted my little walk down disaster lane.
But then I recalled a Mark Twain quote about looking back on what you did or did not do. It went:
