St. James Deli

I stopped by St. James Deli Monday to check in with my fellow Ravens’ fan Dave Thompson in preparation for Monday Night’s Football game between the Ravens and the Rams.

Sherry and Dave

In addition to discussing football,  I asked Dave about the recent Enterprise article on his and wife Sherry’s planned expansion.  Dave laughed and said that it had been quite an effort juggling all of the bids, estimates and financing for the work along with obtaining all the permits and ok’s from the County to do so.  He said that the Liquor Board approval mentioned in the article  wasn’t too bad to obtain but that some of the other hoops and hurdles he was having to go through were a real pain.

He also commented on having to plan for being out of business for 6 months or however long it will take to do the renovation/expansion.
He said that they had to do it though because their business had grown such that they needed to expand their footprint.  I told him that this was a good problem to have.

In case you missed it, here is the Enterprise article by Dan Belson on Sherry and Dave’s expansion plans.

Bob Mann caught Frankie Valli performing last week at the Warner Theater and told me that Frankie at 85 years old still has it going on and that he put on a great show.  And yes, Frankie  did perform this tune that runs thru my mind every time I meet or hear mention made of someone named Sherry.
