Logos Hidden in Logos

Brian Barnhill pointed out to me recently that Fedex Logo has an arrow in it.

It’s funny that whereas previously I had never noticed the arrow, now whenever I look at the logo, the arrow is the first thing I see!

Made me go looking for other logos with stuff hidden in them.  Here is a chocolate product produced in Bern, Switzerland and contains a bear (Bern is Swiss for bear) in its logo:

Baskin Robbins at one time featured 31 flavors and incorporated that fact into their logo.

Also, I never knew that Hershey’s Kisses logo actually has a kiss in it between the letters K and I.

Believe it or not but I tried to incorporate a hidden logo in the Buzzy’s Country Store that Molly Hewitt created for me back in 07.  I tell folks that if they look closely and long enough at the logo they will find me in it.  Try for yourself to find me in the logo.  Answer below.

I used to show the Buzzy logo to folks and challenge them to find me in it.  Some would twist and turn the logo all around looking for me or my likeness.  One lady would not let me tell her the answer and spent quite a bit of time searching it.  She then got a little peeved with me when she finally gave up and I told her the answer “I am the son of Buzzy” and pointed to the sun above the store.  Her response was a tad snotty as she replied “And I guess you think the world revolves around you!”  I think the secret then to a good hidden logo is not too make it too hidden or too subtle!

On the other side of this issue, there was some controversy over supposedly hidden Satanic symbols that the Proctor and Gamble folks had to contend with (click here.)

They ultimately changed their logo.

And wrt The Sun check out this tune that later was used as the background music for a Transitions sunglasses commercial (click here.)
