Unforgettably Lonesome But Still Laughing

I have mentioned many times previously how Buzzy was a big Nat King Cole fan.   Accordingly, whenever a Nat song plays, I think of him.

The other day while listening to the radio, I heard this one from Nat that won Grammy of the Year Song in 1992 following daughter Natalie’s re-release of it in 1991(click here.)  Nat recorded his original version in 1951.  How’s this for some crazy coincidence – Nat’s version hit #14 on the Billboard Top 100 and then Natalie’s version also hit 14 some 40 years later (click here.)

But check out another of those digital duets featuring the King and Nora Jones:

There is also this funny video of Elvis losing it while Cissy Houston (Whitney’s Mom) never misses a beat as his backup singer.  Listen for maybe one of the best lines ever in rock history “Do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair?”
