Note that the website is prepared by Visit St. Mary’s County, Maryland headed up by my friend Barbara Sopato. Barbara is the Executive Director of this group and resides in Ridge on the Chesapeake Bay down Fresh Pond Neck Road. The County is very lucky to have someone like Barbara heading up this important tourism group. Like Buzzy used to used to say about tourists – “Fleece ’em and release ’em,” which was his short hand way of saying that tourists love to visit us, have a good time, spend their money and then leave nothing but their footprints. Anything we can do to promote that dynamic, we should be doing!
