And here she is in a great photo taken in St. Michael’s Cemetery by my sister Lila. Almost looks like Mom is rising from the dead. Who knows, maybe she did so. Then again, the Feast of the Assumption is celebrated on 15 August, 6 days prior to Mom’s birthday. Also, it was on 1 November 1950 when Pope Pius XII proclaimed that Mary was assumed body and soul into heaven.
(Please note, I don’t really believe in any of this, but it does make for a good story today on the anniversary of my Mom passing doesn’t it?)
