Following my Buzzyblog post of yesterday, Ted Yeatman sent me this “12 Days of Christmas in Southern Maryland” and noted that it was produced by Mary Lou Troutman:

When I went looking for other variations of the 12 Days’ subject matter, I found that this has been a popular song to do parodies of.  Here are a couple of those that were left to me on this, the 7th day before Christmas:

And at the risk of completely boring you, check out this Catholic Review discussion that the 12 Days of Christmas was actually a song with deeper/secret meanings written by persecuted Catholics about their catechism. (Note however, that the article does mention how Snopes and other scholars have stated that none of this was true (click here.)
