My friend Cliff Montgomery posted these photos of him and his firefighter friends’ celebrating “Mansgiving” this past weekend at their Portney’s Overlook Rd. hacienda.
Along with consuming large quantities at Portney’s, they also made it down to a local watering hole. Here is a group photo of them on Buzzy’s front porch. (Note that they allowed me to join them and photo bomb the pic.)
And speaking of 11 man football teams, (ok, not really, but I needed a segue there) I did manage to win both my football bets yesterday even though I was expecting the Commanders to win and win big.
I won both bets in the most backdoor kinda way because in addition to hitting the over @ 45, it was the Cowboys who scored over 30 points and not the Commanders as I had anticipated.
Even though I was expecting and betting that it would be the Commanders who would score over 30, it was the Cowboys who did so on their final score. Because the prop line stated “Any team to score 30+ points” I won on the Cowboys doing so even though my going in bet was that it would be the Commanders who hit 30 or more. As betting experiences go, I’m not usually that fortunate nor lucky; but I’ll take it!
