Heard this tune on the 80’s channel the other day and while noting that it was a great Pointer Sisters’ tune wondered whatever happened with them. Turns out that of the three sisters June, Ruth and Anita, only Ruth is still around. June (lead singer here) was the youngest and died at the age of 52 from cancer after years of drug addiction. Anita also died from cancer in December 22. At the age of 47 Ruth gave birth to twins (click here.) Now at 80 years old, she still tours and performs as the Pointer Sisters with grand daughters and members of the Pointer family.
