All this talk of how that guy managed to escape after shooting the Health Care CEO in NYC made me think of this video and tune from Bob.
Although it was not one of Bob’s bigger hits (only made it to 45 on Billboard’s Top 100 and the Adult Contemporary chart at that (click here,)) Still, more so than all of his other great songs, this one may have been his best lyrically, musically and philosophically. Listen closely, cuz Bob’s laying down some serious life messages here: e.g. “dreams die hard and we watch them erode, but we can not be denied. The fire inside.” (3:50 mark.) Video filmed in black and white was a nice touch too.
