Have you seen any of those “Then and Now” videos floating around?
Being the old fart that I am, the one from Bonanza caught my eye (clickhere.)
Notice that Dan Blocker, who played Hoss, does not appear to have aged much from the 1959 photo of him. That’s because he died following gall bladder surgery at the young age of 43 while Bonanza was still on the air in its 13th season.
Note too that the Now Hop Sing does not look too much different from Then Hop Sing. Is it too racist (ageist?) for me to make a comment about how Asian folks do not show their age as much as other groups do? In case you’ve never heard of that stereotype (click here.)
Moving up to the 21st Century, check out this Then and Now video featuring the Big Bang folks. While the dudes all look a lot older, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) is still looking pretty good.
Music-wise, check out Kaley here doing this tune from A Chorus Line. (According to a comment attached to the video, this was supposedly from a charity event where the Big Bang Theory members took turns performing musical numbers.)
It made me consider doing a Buzzy and me Then and Now comparison from 2007. However, I couldn’t figure out how to attach those angel wings onto him to indicate his departure into that Country Store up in the sky in 2009. Here we are in 2007.
