Pam and I have been binge watching The Pitt all this week. About an ER in Pittsburgh, each episode features one hour and is more than a little scary how chaotic and crazy it is in these ER’s. Each episode does a great job showing what ER folks have to deal with and how they cope doing so.
An episode (S2 E6) we watched last night dealt with the death of one of their repeat visitors to the ER. The staff gathers round to say goodbye to him and then this tune plays at the end as they file out of the room. Powerful stuff, trust me. (You can watch that final scene here if you are up for it.)
Since it has been awhile since I have had a good cry, as I sat there doing so at the show’s ending last night, it reminded me of this Blind Faith tune. (Lyrics below.)

I always got a charge out of that line “The feeling’s the same as being outside of the law.” However, I never once thought of it as being prophetic.

J, funny you mention The Pitt, our son’s #2 daughter will graduate on May 1 as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, she will be Dr. Ashley Kapinos, D.O..
She “Matched” to do her residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh which is where they shoot the ER scenes on the Pitt! She will be an ER doctor. When she did her rotation there last fall they were actually shooting scenes. We had never watched the show, Ashley said you can see her in the background of one of the episodes but we haven’t narrowed it down yet.
