With rain in the forecast for tomorrow we have got to be getting close to setting some kind of record for most rainfall in a single year.

The little bit of Googling I did on the matter just now turned up this 21 September 2018 Enterprise article (headline above) on how we were just 10 inches shy of breaking the record of 61 inches set in 2003 (click here.) (In 2003 we had some heavy snow storms along with Hurricane Isabel. This year we’ve just had a lot of rain.)
And because I think in song lyrics, this tune, which I have included below, came to mind. When the Levee Breaks is an old blues song first recorded in 1929 written following the Great Mississippi flood of 1927. (If you ever get a chance to do so try and read the book Rising Tide, which documents the many historical impacts of this flood. Following synopsis gives you a good idea on what is discussed.)
