I am passing this along as a heads-up-look-what’s-coming notice when maybe it should be portrayed more as a warning: the Buzzy’s Country Store Podcast is on the way.
I know that this represents moving the technology needle on you here by going from blogging to podcasting; but after 17 years blogging, it is time to do try something new right? And thanks to the efforts of Chief Larry Eberhard, Buzzy’s has the perfect opportunity to do so.
For some years now Larry has been photographing and making films of folks and things throughout the County. He also created some of the first podcasts ever produced by the County Government several years ago when he worked in the Department of Land Use and Growth Management. (He did a T-V show for our cable’s Governmental Public Channel.) My thanks to Larry for all his efforts on making the Buzzy Podcast a reality.
I will continue doing the blog of course, but am looking forward to sitting down and talking to my Buzzy family, friends and visitors and passing some of that along to you. It may end up being one big giant fail, but it also could be fun and even somewhat entertaining. As my Mom would say “We’ll just have to see.”
And speaking of fun and somewhat entertaining, here is a photo from a test run Larry did the other day. That’s my friend Brian Barnhill sitting in as my first would-be guest. (I am purposely not passing along any additional audio/video of our goof around discussions for reasons that you can probably guess why not. Clue for you – camping jokes were involved!)

Music-wise, Larry also came up with a Buzzy Theme Song for the podcast by using some AI wizardry to do so. See if you don’t agree that this is a great tune! Thank you Larry!
